Default Nice little piece by the BBC on Michael Buffer

Still makes the hairs on back of my neck stand when I hear Buffer let go with his trademark line. Always adds to the occasion with him in the ring. Met him in Vegas in 1999 at Lewis v Tua - a good guy who liked to chat.

BBC Sport - Carl Froch v George Groves: Michael Buffer 'ready to rumble'

I also just checked celebritynetworth and he is worth $400 million !!!!!!!!!!

And he can't go on forever. Hmmmm.........

Mark's post wasn't THAT good Master, and his binman route isn't such a good job.

I could do better than Buffer. However, they would need to take a risk with one sentence of my own choice before each fight. Otherwise, the guy is a walking parrot. There is no dignity in being a parrot. In a world of consumerism there may be, but I want anarchy.

Buffer is goat, but he is getting to be a guy who over decorates the Christmas tree at times. Comes off a bit gawdy and loudest car salesman. When did he start this 1-10 countdown ffs?

Its funny because when you hear him interview it doesn't match announce tone at all. Like two different guys. Just a case of how he can up the game though like a top lead vocalist

Buffer made a good living, but myself it's all about the fighters and the bout, he's just a ring announcer
he's not important he adds to the theater.
To be honest I can't wait for him to finish, and the FIGHT starts.

I'd like to see you become worth $400m from a mere 5 words. You could then walk away from the money, showing both your linguistic brilliance and your transcendence of consumerism, or you could use all of that money to influence some real change in the world. Rants on Saddos will only go so far.

What say you Miles? You have the power of greatness within.

Good article. I like Buffer and his signature line, but he's paid far too much.
It's bull$#!t that on any given fight night, ring-announcer Buffer is paid more than almost all the fighters on that card (except for the guys in the main event of course.)

Ring-announcers shouldn't be getting paid more than the guys in the ring who leave pieces of themselves behind...

    That's Capitalist society though.

Its in that clip, starts counting down for Groves intro and all. I get working a crowd but he's gone a bit Barnum & Bailey circus as of late.

Not nearly like his brother who calls ufc events. That is just straight up ridiculous.... "ITS TIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMME"

Loud never beats original in that family.
