He may not be a good "blow-by-blow" commentator, but his talent is bringing out the best in the commentators around him. It was the 7th round, and Groves connected what was clearly a hard jab on Froch. Lampley promptly calls it a big left hook. Both Kellerman and Roy Jones immediately corrected him, saying it was really a jab. Whereupon Lampley, not to be shown up says... "It was a crooked enough jab to be called a hook." As if connecting a jab with your elbow bent makes it a hook.

Nothing major, but damn Jim... you screwed up a bit on that one.

It's tough because these guys have big egos, especially a guy like Lampley who's been doing this so long, so it has to really sting your pride when someone corrects you in front of potentially millions of people. Especially when it's a pro fighter correcting you.
