Double taxation for American athletes fighting abroad. Floyd maybe banned from injecting his hands before the fight. Up to twenty million dollars on the gate plus a site fee from the MGM available in Vegas with zero state taxes versus let's say a hundred bucks a seat for the Wembley promotion (maybe more, no idea how the ticket resellers split the money with the promoters) times 80 000 equals eight million minus taxes. Three hundred a seat and you're still doing less than Vegas. Figure on a drop in US PPV due to the fight being abroad, Arum used to say Ali fights abroad meant a 50% drop in closed circuit revenue. Endless other complications not least that Floyd was just refused a UK visa.

Floyd was talking about buying the Clippers too but it was just a PR stunt to sell his last fight. This is probably something similar. I can't see Hearn/Sky coming up with a guarantee that could match what Vegas can offer.
