    My fight for today,

1989-Ray Leonard vs Tommy Hearns. Not only did Tommy have to wait to long for a rematch because of Leonard but he then gets boned. How Leonard got a split draw out of this retaining his 168 title is a mystery to me

1916: Benny Leonard ND 10 Johnny Dundee.

*-Leonardo Cruz W 15 Sergio Palma. Wins WBA Super Bantamweight Title.
    *
1984: Rocky Lockridge KO 11 Tae Jin Moon, Anchorage, Alaska. Retains WBA Super Featherweight Title. Most likely the farthest north on this continent where a title has ever been contested.
    *

    *
1989: Sugar Ray Leonard D 12 Thomas Hearns. Retains WBC Super Middleweight Title.

Good on you dude, love the mix. Ploenchit v Guzman was a battle. Today in 94' I had Junior Jones losing by one point to Orlando Fernandez Mitchells ko of Liles while squinting thru busted eyes had to be one of the top 'come from behind' kos of that year!

Yes indeed Hearns got robbed of the victory against Leonard – redemption should have been his.

    My fight for this day,

1986: Hector Camacho v Edwin Rosario. Neither man would be the same even though Hector went on to reasonable success. It took a lot out of him. He was lucky to squeak this one out.

1908-Tommy Burns KO 8 Bill Squires. Retains World Heavyweight Title.

1935- James J. Braddock W 15 Max Baer. Wins World Heavyweight Title. Scoring: Referee McAvoy scored 9-5-1; Lynch 11-4; Kelly 7-7-1. One of the biggest upsets in boxing history and the fight in which the movie Cinderella Man is based.

    1938- Charley Burley W 10 Fritzie Zivic.

1981- Marvelous Marvin Hagler KO 5 Vito Antuofermo. Retains World Middleweight Title. Fitting. I thought Marvin won the first fight and apparently so did Mills Lane. He told him to turn and face the camera so he could raise his arms when they made the call.

1986- Hector Camacho W 12 Edwin Rosario. Retains WBC Lightweight Title.
-Julio Cesar Chavez KO 7 Refugio Rojas. Retains WBC Super Featherweight Title.

1997- Dariusz Michalczewski W 12 Virgil Hill. Wins IBF & WBA Light Heavyweight Title. Out of all the guys that I wished could have been sorted out with Roy this guy was number 1.

1998:-Oscar DeLaHoya KO 3 Patrick Charpentier. Retains WBC Welterweight Title.
-Cesar Bazan W 12 Stevie Johnston.Wins WBC Lightweight Title.
-Freddie Norwood KO 8 Genaro Rios. Retains WBA Featherweight Title

1999- In Joo Cho KO 8 Pone Saengmorakot Retains WBC Super Flyweight Title.

2000- Former WBC Super Welterweight Champion Duane Thomas is shot and killed outside a convenience store.
