A good way if you are a more hands on type is to go to garage sales, opportunity shops and buy good name brand clothes or skate shoes, anything designer that is light that posts off ok and Ebay it or Gumtree it and triple your money at least. You could build up from one thing and make a profit on it then put that into one other thing slightly larger or more expensive and build up and up until you are dealing in bikes cars or houses if you got in you.
I was just reading about a 30 year old woman that built a billion dollar business doing just that. She'd buy 'vintage' clothes in thrift stores and such, dress it up a bit, take a picture of one of her friends wearing it, then sell it on EBay. They kicked her off but buy then she was making $20,000/month so she started her own website.
