I used to confuse Gary Russell Jr. with Gary Stark Jr. first couple times I saw them as they started around the same time as prospects.


Stark Jr. stepped up his competition and lost then retired.


Russell was def more talented, but never stepped up his and is still undefeated.

After beating Mares, Gonzalez said he was making his first defense in Mexico. Didn't matter the opponent. Instead of accepting, Russell made a bogus counter offer that he knew was gonna get rejected.
