What has Rooney done on the international stage where he hasnt had players from all over the globe placed around him to accomodate him like at club level?

What is this? His 3rd world cup? Hes done. He never was world class, this is the stage where you see world class. He has no co confidence with the ball.
he was supreme in euro 2004 till his foot broke and that wasn't down to who he was playing with .. the guy was just brilliant then.. he is also coming up for 40 goals for england... thats not bad.. I think you'd have to be mad to think rooney isnt something special.
    Rooneys acheivements?

What special moments has he had for england. Im not. Football fan but even me when thinking of a special moment for an england player I can remember the free kick Beckham had against Greece.

Rooney is premiership hype. He needs thos players that cost hundreds of millions around him to play.

On the other hand, England let players like Matt Le Tissier who had game changing skills just slip. Had Matt Le Tissier been allowed to play for england by Hoddle in 98 England may well have won the tournamet because they had something special.

Even the french wanted Le Tiss. Gerard Houllier was calling Le Tiss dad and asking him to play for France in 90. Hoddle wanted to pay a world record fee for Le Tiss to move to Chelsea but that smae player who he thougt was worth a world record fee was suddenly not worth helping his country actually win a world cup.

Rooney is shit. The biggest headlines he has are having a blowjob from a granny and am elton john hair transplant. Football? World cup? What?
I don't agree with the stuff about rooney at all, I think he's top class and always has been, he's scored some great goals with no help from his team mates, scored v top teams, scored in the champions league final so I think he's pretty good.. I'd be very happy if england dropped him though !

Le tissier was a very interesting player, I have never watched the english league regulary and I have only watched his you tube highlight videos... but they are great videos, he certainly had something special.. He has his pick of playing for any of the uk teams too , shoudl have come to scotland we would have made him defend !

Whats Rooney done for England? Missed the goal.
Scored 39 times. 10 short of Charlton's record. Will likely break it.

Rooney hasn't become the player we hoped he would at 18, but he is still a world class player. The only people that don't think so are a section of part time England fans.

He can be frustrating, I'm not a huge fan particularly but you are really have to be blinkered to not see his quality.

I agree with Shearer - he has to play as centre forward or not at all.

Or a two pronged attack with Sturridge ?

You can't drop Sturridge so what do you do.

Roy's one mistake was retiring Ashley Cole - as much as I hate him

Play Rooney with Sturridge up front, drop Wellbeck and play Lianna. Sterling on the right.

Or keep the same team as Uruguay are not as good as Italy.

England really miss Theo Walcott right now, the pace you guys could have had with a lineup of

LW: Sterling ST: Sturridge RW: Walcott
    CAM: Rooney
    LM: Hendo/Milner RM: Gerrard
LB: Baines CB: whoever you have RB: Johnson/Flano
    GK: Hart

SPEED paired with the passing of Gerrard, workrate of Hendo/Milner...would have been tough to stop

I'm sure I use 'you guys' at times. Pretty sure. Maybe not in front of you guys though. I think it's ok.
