I think thats a pretty brutal assessment of the first bout. True the fight was savage. "Fighting like animals because nobody taught them how to fight"? Well we both Katsidas has been a world class fighter with skills that in the past have tested the likes of Marquez. At the end of the day, styles make fights, and these two in the ring together resulted in a savage brawl. This match up may not have been a gentlemanly exchange of class boxing, but, in the words of ricky hatton "This aint a tickling contest".
The ref made a risky descision thowing out the towel, but the decision wasnt really up for debate when Earl put Katsidas's ass on the canvas seconds after. Earl was always in the fight, just getting hit a lot. He answered every flurry of punches with a right hand or combo of his own. It was right to end the fight when it ended.
Im shocked that there is a rematch. Shouldnt be happening at all in my opinion. I will watch, but I think it'll be a sorry site when Earl gets stopped in early rounds (even earlier than last time). And if Katsidas loses, that will be a depressing end on a whole different level. I hope its a better bout than expected, and I would love to see Earl win. Not gonna happen though.![]()
