I think a sport that has been around over a 100 years and has a lot of eras can have a top 50 being the cut off. When most do a list like ring or espn it is a top 100 list. This sport has been around for a fucking long time if you reach the top 30 you can be called a atg i think that is perfectly logical.

I'm not faulting your opinion I'm just telling you what I consider an all time great like I've said all along - Floyd was/ is amazing and certain fights would have left no doubt about his brilliance

Think about how we would view Ali if after his forced layoff he came back but never fought Frazier Leonard if he had never fought Hearns and instead moved up Whitaker if the Chavez fight was never made

To be fair the only one on that level is Pac that would of gotten him there. I mean Mosley took a vacation and Oscar during his prime years didn't give Mayweather the time of day. Hell Cotto just achieved being the ring champ lineal champ he never did that and Mayweather beat him clearly few years ago.

Agreed that facing Pacquiao upon his return would have strengthened his legacy but I also think the Wright fight would have significantly made things undeniable just image Floyd stepping up from 140 to face Wright who had just defeated Trinidad and was going to move down in weight to 154 for the bout that would have been an impressive challenge I also believe fighting the Cotto of 07/ 08 or Margarito instead of retiring wouldn't have left such a bad taste in so many fans' mouths

I also think Casamayor around 00/ 01 would have been a significant scalp leading up to Corrales

Trying to make Spadafora or Dorin instead of Sosa and Ndou would be more valuable

    Tszyu then Hatton at 140

Move to 147 to take Spinks' championship, then defending against Margrito

Retire and come back to face Pacquiao, then challenge Martinez for the middleweight championship

I know network rivalries and promoter differences prevented many of these fights but that's whats frustrating as that sort of record would give credibility to Floyd's claims as TBE or the GOAT

Danny Garcia is the most pointless fight for Floyd to take. Hes a plodder that Mayweather has no problems with and is also probably smaller so not going to be stronger then Floyd, would be the biggest bitch move by Floyd in his career if he was to fight him. Porter or Thurman are the guys he should be fighting if he is going to give a young guy a shot.

Is Floyd in a relationship with Justin Bieber?

They call those kind of relationships between a middle-aged man and a teen aged boy pederasty. Here's Floyd and Bieber before his last fight getting massaged together:

So what is the conclusion? Because he never fought Manny, 18 years of undefeated boxing including 16 years as a champ means nothing?
    Sorry for the late reply...

The conclusion is he has left us with too many ?'s to be tagged the TBE, and the ATG Title is a perspective on how many do you want to include in the list... Hall of Famers the list will go on and on..> But an ATG the line has to be drawn somewhere. Top 5, Top 10 - How many do we allow to be included in this list? Maybe when he retires and time creates perspective we may see a shift in opinion.

This shitting on Floyd's lodge pole is getting a little old. Antiquated to a level prior to compost. You know, objectivity shouldn't make you choke. I cant stand the dandy but that's not relevant when taking about pugilism itself. I probably would have thought Robinson was a prick also. Fact of the matter is, Floyd is the Robinson, Leonard of his era and empirical evidence supports that assertion. Sure he's slipped and had a few minor bumps in the road but so did those other two. Sure he may have not have fought a few guys depending on ones opinion but again so did the other two. People forget that this guy has been fighting for close to 20 freakin years and has been a dominant fighter and star for about 15 getting hit clean less then Pep, Locche or Whitaker. And that's just the D side. Incredible hand speed, punch selection and footwork. Best check right hook I have ever seen and since his domination of Hernandez has been the cream of the crop in every division he fought in. And to top it off, now he is paying his opponents guaranteeing I hope a much better future.

Look if people are going to continue to find fault in Floyd's resume by saying things like he should have fought Forbes across thee interweb or captain cast then chuck out an name and I'll kick the shit out of their resume.
