    Thanks and good topic.

    Damage was done during that time period imo and the comp was not that stiff. Average at best after Mancini and many fighters won the fights that were the "one to many" In Chacons case it may have been the last Limon encounter.

    It be pretty tough to pin point the ONE fight that was to many. I assumed "one war to many" to not be 1 specific, For example the fight or fights to many for Ali came before the Holmes criminal act. Same with my favourite little man Jimmy Wilde. His fight to many occurred long before he met Pancho Villa.

    And just to be clear Willie Pep was pretty sharp until the last few years of his life. Now his dementia could have been the result of simple deterioration because of old age but I think it began with Sandy Saddler.

    The Limon/Boza Edwards fights did it for sure. Ironically, one of his victim at the end was Roach and he gave Freddie a terrible beating as he did to Montana who became punchy.
