This should be a very entertaining fight I look for Evander Holyfield to win via 6th R KO , should be a good match. .. a great fight for San Antonio .

Shameful. Holy could get really hurt in this fight, Oquendo is a very live body I think this is ridiculous... Holyfield beats up some absolute bum insurance salesman and suddenly noone has a problem with him getting a title shot or competing at the top level... This is a scary fight and I don't think Evander can win... If he does, I will really be amazed.. Oquendo looked fairly good in his comeback fight.
I know what youre saying but ive never been that sold on Fres . To me a washed up Evander and a prime Fres are quite evenly matched . I see this fight as 50-50 and if Evander does everything right I can see him coming through this 1 with a points win .Originally Posted by p4pking
They both fought Ruiz and after 3 fights I think Evander desrved the trilogy . Fres had 1 fight with the quiet man and was badly K.o'd .Not only that but I dont think he throws enough combos or sets the pace like should He was also stopped by Tua so I think Evander has the experience and ringcraft to handle himself in this 1 . Should it be Wvlad id be worried but Fres is nothing special
Evander has been fighting with injuries for the last 4 5 years, recently he has had several surgeries to repair that rotator cuff, he will be just fine ! Holyfield is great warrior, and this boring ass weak division needs him back more then ever !

I feel very torn about this. Evander is my favorite fighter but I really don't want to see him get embarrassed anymore. I'll be rooting for him, but if he loses I hope its by KO so he will finally retire. That being said if Evander is close to The Real Deal that fought Rahman(the last time he looked decent) I'd give him a good chance at a late round TKO. I'll be real curious how his stamina holds up to going several rounds.

I know Fres is not an excellent fighter... But he whipped Chris Byrd and was robbed, and has showed some decent skills and enough pop on occasion. Plus he's never been absolutely humiliated in the ring, he was winning both the Ruiz and Tua fights convincingly before he was stopped. I mean Evander is not just washed up, have you seen him fight Larry Donald?? Holy cripes, he was losing badly to everyone before that, but he was an absolute shell of a shell of anything he ever was in that fight... I just don't see his little circus comeback against Bates as a win on his record, because it isn't... It's easy to look like you have fast hands and have got some speed and pop back when you are litterly hitting a large heavy bag that doesn't move and has about twice as much padding..Originally Posted by GAME

I think you should bitch about these young guys that can't fight, why mess with old guys that can ? LMFAO ! Id like to see Bowe Foreman and Holyfield come back and tap dance on this lack luster division.
Poor Evander. I hope he doesn't get hurt.![]()
I cant believe that some people thinks that Evander has a chance against Fres. This fight is going to be ugly.Fres by death in Rnd 8
But the fact that he is in a mission to be champ again is the only way, sttepin up medium ways.Originally Posted by p4pking
