That diagram reminds me of when Naz got caught by Kevin Kelly trying to switch his feet and getting put down.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Switching Stances to me is a situational offensive strategy, but can be counter productive defensively.
In other words:
Since Offense is active and defense is reactive, switching stances could enhance offense and inhibit defense.

I made sure to use the words "can" and "could" due to the exceptions to the rule... I'm sure there were a couple others that were effective throughout history, but if you were training multiple fighters would you teach them all to switch stances because Marvin Hagler and Terrence Crawford were/are successful at it.
I also don't recommend crossing your feet, but Rigondeaux breaks that rule and is quite successful.

Crawford is no Hagler, Rigo is a hell of a fighter , may I just say Brendon Ingle fighters are exception to the rule, the guys not bad he's trained 3 World champions.
Most fighters out of his gym, change stance he has had great success , not 1 but 3 World Champion
he must be doing something RIGHT.![]()
