Quite a few instances in the last year I've noticed of the ref jumping in to give a standing 8 count. Have the rules actually changed? They just willfully ignoring them? Or are they allowed in European title bouts?

I think he started that count on the basis that the ropes kept him upright. I couldnt tell you who officially runs with a standing 8 count rule. Seems every time it happens no one quite knows why.Originally Posted by ryanman
