I don't think it was just a disgrace in the end. It was a disgrace from the set up. We keep getting worse and worse match ups. These "headliners" wouldn't even be the fight before the main event 30 years ago. They'd be lucky to be the fight before the fight before the main event.

Seriously, two gate keeper quality fighters as a main event? A champ against a nobody as co-main? The product gets ever worse. We get maybe 5 quality fights a year anymore. Sure there are plenty of action fights and fights that end up good but those are almost by accident. If they aren't by accident they are by guys on the way up because once anyone gets any standing they make shit fights. I'm losing my cool over this garbage. Back in the day better fights than those were on free friction TV, now this garbage is what we get from premium?! I really don't know how much longer I can watch this sport eat itself.
Rios-Chaves was expected to be a good fight from the day it was signed. It wasn't by accident. The 1940's are over. And they have been over for awhile. The era of great fights on free TV is long gone. It sucks. But that's the way it is.

Kovalev once again proved that he has the kind of power that makes his opponent start looking for a comfy place to fall. You can see them lose their heart when he lands clean.

What a fucking mess Vic turned Rios/Chavez into, and one of the worst DQs I've ever seen in boxing. Both guys were up to no good, and Chavez was doing a bit of acting to try to get

Rios kept jawing at just about every push off but never gave a warning the last time. It may have looked like it was a bad call and like I said the refund should have been giving warnings but I didn't see it as unjustified.
