Yea... you just wanted to see it. Now I see why they hid it for so long- it was so one sided, so disappointing for Trinidad, that it not only broke his spirit but changed his earning potential.

lololol...

Lets not get carried away here. Hopkins took Tito's heart and everything after that was King cashing out. Winky Wright did not break his spirit. It would have been nice to see Winky, Ike and Tito all go at it in their primes but it was just not to be. Winky also beat Ike at 160 convincingly but that's not evidence for what would have taken place at 47 or 54.
Taking someone's heart is not equivalent to taking someone's earning potential. While Hopkins did beat Trinidad, Trinidad's earning power was not diminished. This was a financially debilitating loss to an un-observed and, to boxing bloodhounds, a boring fighter in the name of Winky Wright.

Winky took it all out of him this time. All out of him. He had nothing after this to give. Nothing. When Hopkins beat him, he had something left... at least Hopkins was favoured to win by many... Winky wasn't expected to win or even compete...
Get your facts straight Hopkins was a 2 to 1 underdog, winky vs tito was damn near a pick em fight, if my memory serves me correct tito was only a -130 favorite vs winky. And for the record B Hop did affect his earning power because tito was supposed to fight RJJ but B Hop knocked him out and stopped all of that. Not to mention Tito retired after that fight and he was totally exposed. All Winky did was follow B Hops blueprint in a 12 rd jabfest shutout...B Hop crushed him, exposed him, and stopped him with one of the best counter punches u will ever see.
Odds came closer to fight night that Hopkins was the favourite. Re-watch the footage and they say so.

I don't know why people picked Trinidad to win that fight vs. Hopkins anyways? Tito was smaller and really couldn't box very well- he robbed De La Hoya, got a gift vs. Whitaker, dodged Shane Mosely and crushed a one-eyed David Reid.

Trinidad was on borrowed time.
No actually your wrong hopkins opened up around +270 and closed at +200 and this is a FACT because bernard was given 100k to advertise a gambling website on his trunks, he then took the 100k and bet it on himself as a 2 to 1 underdog on the day of the fight. The Tito hype was in full effect at the time and everyone was overlooking B Hop in anticipation of a Big Money fight between Tito and Roy Jones, but B Hop stopped all that by executing Tito.
