Yes I have been in the ring, it didn't take me long to figure put that being a spectator was my true calling. I've been hard at it for years!

Boxed amateur for 9 years. Numerous medals and almost made Canada Games but got ripped off as I was fighting the trainers son. (That's my take on it anyway) I lost several times and never complained but that one left a bad taste in my mouth. I think I mentioned in a previous post that I never understood why the loser got a silver medal. It just amused me to get something for coming in second in a fight even at the age of 14.
I was good but only because I started at a young age and felt very comfortable in the ring. I could also anticipate the other guys response so it made me look faster than I was.
That being said, I now have shaky hands and slurred speech but may be more due to too much dope and booze later in life. Easier to blame getting punched in the head.
Best years of my life though. (boxing, not dope)
I live in a city with lots of clubs but no one seems to know anything about boxing. Even the fighters I know. That is why I like coming here. Even though I am ignoring my overweight wife and our 5 horrible kids to do so. If my wife reads this I will get punched in the head again and can blame her I guess.
