I just like that time period in general . The Heavyweights was at their best, physically and mentally , Lewis was great and exciting at that time,, Lennox ’s weight was 228 and that was stretched over a 6”5 frame. Lewis’s hands speed and stamina was amazing until he put on another 25 lbs , also Riddick Bowe was like 232 on a 6”5 frame. These guys were conditioned and they through combination punches in bunches for a sustained period of time, today’s out of shape guys are lucky to get off a few shots at a time, and then get tired inside 3 rounds. Also the fighters in the early 90’s we more schooled and actually had amature careers, not so green . Most of today’s American HW like Brock, Grant have never boxed before .It's like watching a tough man contest all the holding and gasping for air. its horrible to be honest. however the last few fights have been pretty good, Toney - Peter at least they didn’t hold on too much and Maskaev- Rahman was nice sustained action, maybe things are starting to turn for the better.
