7 year old thread. But WTF. Mentally I don't think Golota could stand shoulder to shoulder with Tommy RIP. Morrison was a professional with flaws while Golota was a man who panicked. Often. But..he had a ripping jab as was mentioned and I cannot see that as a flaw. I don't think Mercer just sponged bombs until Morrison punched himself out as is often said but Ray really out boxed and out jabbed him with sapping short shots. There was much more going on in that hellacious scrap. He moved him into mistakes. Yeh, the head of iron helped
And while being starched by Lewis in 1 is bad...Morrison wasn't beyond being hurt and starched himself in the 1st to a lesser guy. In the end have to side with faster, more mentally resilient guy who knew he could punch holes in you and never went out until he did or attempted just that and had zero left. Morrison gets off the deck..prob a short shock jab... and beats Golota into a mashed lumpy pumpkin headed tko.
