Stephens was a good fighter. He was like a poor mans Oba Carr. He would never beat an elite guy, but he would give them Hell and cause some anxious moments for their fans n management. I would say Stephens was one of the best guys I've seen at turning his opponent into punches with other punches he threw (turning a guy into his left hook after nailing him with his right cross). Yori Boy Campas was another guy who was tough as hell but couldn't beat the elite guys. Boxing was great during that time. Solid heavyweights, great guys around welter. I didn't appreciate it enough...
