80% of boxing media score for Brook over Porter

The high number surprised me although as the you will see on the article the ave score was close. I scored it 114-114.

The 117-111 score i feel is far too wide.

so how did you all score the fight?

I didn't score the fight. May have to go back and score it. I typically see things differently the next days afterwards- but I saw how Brook was handling Porter's pressure.

If Porter's strategy was to get whacked in the face with a two-piece every 15 seconds or so, and then miss all of his flailing shots and holding and hitting arms and hips, then he should have won the fight.

I wasn't actively scoring the fight but I felt that Brook deserved the nod. It's all about EFFECTIVE aggressiveness... sometimes Porter was effective, but most often he was not. Brook landed a lot of good, clean shots.

To me, that was as an impressive victory as you can get because it showed that Brook could operate under INTENSE heat. Porter is a freak of nature and was swarming, mauling and bombing from the start until the final bell and Brook was never rattled, never thrown off, and got the job done.
