While I view this as a completely legitimate defense, it's still been a pretty stagnant year for Kid Chocolate. Neither Luis Konecny, nor Matvey Korobov are top ten middleweights or big names. I believe that the winner or Stevens and N'Jikam become Kid Chocolate's mandatory too. Again, good fights, but not a big step upward.

This should be a good fight and its good to see Korobov finally step up and fight for a title. This is a good solid defence for Quillen and hes fighting a solid contender. Interesting to see Jay Z has outbid goldenboy for the fight too, I didn't know he was involved in boxing.

Is Kid Chocolate signed by Golden Boy, or advised by Haymon and promoted by Golden Boy on occasion but with no contract? Korobov is signed by Top Rank.

Hes managed by Haymon and promoted by goldenboy. Im not sure if he is contracted or not.

Korobov had a good solid amateur career too, hes undefeated and hes the WBO number 1 and boxrec have him at number 8. Hes arguably the best fighter Quillen has had to fight so far.
