Who is "worthy", or who can actually sell them? Chavez Jr has got more PPV buys from fighting blown up journeymen than Rigondeaux could ever hope to do fighting Santa Cruz, just to show how different those questions are. Of course it's never going to be all about merit, but I don't understand who actually pays for some of these cards.
It is pretty obvious how desperate the American networks are for new A sides, but you can't expect anyone to sell on their own before they have any great wins/performances! Rios-Chavez was a PPV wasn't it??Even Floyd and Mannys fights are showing how dire this is getting imo. Is Pacquiao-Algeri worth paying for? It's probably going to be live at breakfast again for most people in the Western world, and won't even have an under card. There is no really great fight to co-main Floyd-Maidana 2 either, it's pretty bleak.
