I think he's a shoo-in for Fighter of the Year.
If he were fighting Mikey Garcia in November, and he beat him, he'd be a lock for Fighter of the Year, with wins over Garcia, Gamboa, and Burns.
Though, Beltran is still a good win.

Gamboa was under-trained, mentally out of the fight game due to personal issues and his own actions, and was a little overweight.
Burns was a protected European, as Jeurgen Braehmer is now as well as a host of others- Burns was on borrowed time. Hyping up Beltran, when Burns was a hype job, really is no merit.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

OK, who should Crawford fight so you can give him credit? Vazquez? Mikey Garcia?
There's not a lot of talent in the lightweight division. If he beats Beltran, he'll have wins over 2 top 10 lightweights.
I already said that if he moves up to 140, he won't be able to fight Danny Garcia or Peterson, because of the Cold War. Maybe he could fight the winner of Pacquiao-Algieri.
