Just realized it gets a bit worse. Apparently the ghost of Juan Manuel Lopez is being trucked in and fighting for the vacant wba interim featherweight strap against the #1 contender

Lopez is no longer ranked...anywhere And has the looks of a badly shot up fighter who is all heart and zero chin...and a name.

Kayode and Ortiz on paper and styles isn't a terrible scrap, but the only belt involved should be the one holding up 'King Kongs' 3x trunks. Gbp has signed up for Swap meet trinket give aways here

I actually think this is a decent little card. Ortiz v Kayode should be fun. Lopez fights are always entertaining. Errol Spence looks a good prospect as does Shimmel and also heard rumours of Charlo and Julian Williams being on this card.

I dont really see what all the complaining is about. If Ortiz wins he deserves to be number one just as much as Wilder does. Ortiz really should be top 10 with most organisations.

The main is a fun fight. But for a wba belt is a joke, and that's the point. The wba heavyweight ranks are an embarrassment with the reg champ just being out boxed and near clowned by a semi retired Fres Oquendo. Kayode being maneuvered into the top 5 without fighting or beating anyone at heavyweight...and ahead of the number 1 ranked Wilder mentioned. On strictly level of opposition Ortiz would deserve lower top ten I think. I like the guy. But certainly higher than the wba current top 10 hvy...Antonio Tarver .

Lopez was entertaining, raw explosion and all heart. But the kind of entertaining he shows now is damn scary. He is a spent shell and just 60 days off a beating where his legs were locking, the punches were wide with little on them and his chin bobbing around like a buoy in the wild blue sea. I hoped he would rethink coming back, at the very least this early.

They have some decent names on undercard but all facing late TBAs and assumed warm ups. Filler.

Ortiz vs Kayode in main which should indeed be a fun fight, regardless of politricks.

Lopez up 1st. Not sure how serious the talks are for a Khan fight, be he again looks like a jr middle. Wide span. Cobos is built like a tree stump

Lopez looks a bit out of sorts but fighting smarter at range and countering. Cobos undaunted and starting to fight like he belongs here
