I thought he was a proper tool

I remember being in a pub and everyone laughing when Klitschko floored him with his jab and when Herbie looked up his eyes were in orbit.

Also remember Riddick Bowe in post fight interview "I knew I'd won when I hit him for first time and he sounded like a girl"

made a few million though so fair play to him in that respect

Bowe also said that Hide hit him the hardest out of all his opponents. Not bad for someone who struggled to weigh over the old cruiser limit!

Amazing, just googled that. Never knew that.

Riddick's quote below when asked who was hardest puncher he'd faced.

"You're not going to believe this but I would have to say Herbie Hide .... He hit me and I thought Oh sh#t I can't allow this guy to hit me again because I don't know what I'll see next."

Yep, he was proper ferocious! Put everything in to his shots and had real confidence in his power to do damage. If he had a decent chin he could have made a mug of a whole generation of heavies.
