Pac-Garcia is a good fight (imo). Young, unbeaten, in his prime, sparko power, granite chin, mentally tough, great left hook. I wouldn't be surprised if the older fighter got ironed out.

Algeri - Pacquiao isn't a bad fight considering Pacquiao's recent form. Algeri is in his prime and has a length and reach advantage on Pacquiao and he's coming off his best win. This is a much bigger stage though than the Ruslan fight. Will Algeri wilt in the big lights? Pacquiao should be heavily favored but it's a closer affair than the odds let on. Ruslan hits harder than Manny and Algeri, swollen eye and all, took this punches and stuck to his game plan for the full twelve.

Exactly what I was thinking. If you are desperate for a knockout, you do pick the guy that got up from being smashed by Provo and ran circles around him. You do what garcia (haymon) did. You pick some no name, unranked, undersized no hoper that can't punch and you walk through his punches and swing for the fences. As for Garcia facing pac, i dont see it. Garcias carriage has already turned back into a pumpkin over the last few, he fell off and hasnt impressed since matthysse. At least Algiera proved he was durable in the last fight and stylistically, not a cakewalk. If mannys smart, he'll blitz him and try to catch him cold...
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

I don't think so but Marquez proved the right punch at the right moment gets rid of Manny.
That's why I have come to believe the old, all out, pedal to the metal Manny is a thing of the past. That was a lesson that is hard to ignore. The new Manny is always going to be a little more controlled, IMO.
