What do YOU know about the fighters (no WIKI please) and how do you place their acheivements and technique in international and historical context?
I have done some reading on Dai Dower and I personally don't like him all that much.
-His career was extremely short, I think he was very active for about 3 years and that was it.
-He was knocked out the few times he stepped up in class, including a 1st round KO in his only world title fight.
-He always had/ demanded home advantage, even though he didn't possess anything special to deserve it. Think of the fights he lost out on because he didn't travel.
I'll add that the one fight he had outside of the UK, he was KOd in the 1st.
Nothing special, just another case of people believing that old timers are better than they actually are.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
