Broner VS Matthysse, who wins and why?

Broner gets flattened.

I mean Matthysse hits a good bit harder than Maidana imo and Broner has no power at this weight.

It would be a one sided pounding.

Broner could have stayed at his lower weight and had legendary success, but he has jumped up 2 weight divisions into a weight that is full of great defensive fighters and explosive punchers.

He's out of his depth, he was lucky to get past Malignaggi.

I'm not trying to discredit any of the opinions from people saying broner has heart. I just seem to remember him "courageously" taking punches after this didn't work in getting Maidana disqualified.


That being said i think Broner might do better than a lot of people thing against Matthysse. Mainly because Matthysse's linear approach puts him exactly where he needs to be for Broner to hit him, right up the middle. Lucas does better in this fight if he works on his angles.

Lucas wins. If Broner would fight hard for all twelve rounds and use his speed and boxing skills, he would win. Broner isn't as smart in the ring as Floyd and likes to slip and counter with his feet planted. Lucas will get to his body and eventually catch him with some solid rights. It will be a very good fight though. Broner is an exciting guy to watch because he abandons his advantages and counters from the pocket all night.
