Why are people impressed with floyd? (last fight)

I wouldnt buy into one of his fights, I forget the last time I did, I wish the whole world would do the same thing, then he'd have to fight the top seed.

I spent yesterday coughing into a bucket,it was much more fun than watching Floyd do it easy (even for free via a link).

Last time he impressed me was against Marquez say what you want no one else could make JMM look wanting not even in his close fights against Manny.

Seems like they are still flaunting that hope so some keep buying into the hype.

Not because of one punch but because someone like Maidana who is alot slower then Floyd and is not known for his counter punching or timing was able to Time a lead right from the P4P king who is supposed to have some of the fastest hands in the sport. Plus after that punch Floyd seemed to age 5 years beginning the next round. Imagine what someone with faster hands and timing would have done. Floyd also stated he might wait not fight in May and might wait till next September maybe fighting more regularly is taking its toll.

He wasn't impressive compared to what we expect from Floyd but that might be due to Maidana being an awkward fighter and also the fact that he has improved alot under Robert Garcia.

Maybe Floyd's age and him fighting twice a year is taking its toll.

Agreed, I fooled myself into thinking it was going to be an exciting fight. I expected Maidana to be on top of Floyd. Instead it reminded me of Floyd's fight with "The Ghost". I payed for the damn fight but to be honest it wasn't that bad as its an excuse to get together.Floyd did look half interested but it was domination. His hand speed and foot work are still beautiful. The way he screws about in the twelfth round really posses me off. I've seen much more boring Floyd fights than exciting. At least Maidana 1 had some excitement. Floyd should fight Manny so we can have a Floyd fight to get excited about.

Exactly, it was one bloody punch...most fighters get hit with loads of them every fight...Floyd made it look easy all fight and dominated Maidana in easier fashion than last time. He didn't look beatable in the slightest...Who would beat him whos about?? Nobody!!! Haters always will look for things to hate on..But Floyd will reach 50-0 I have no doubts about that.

I dont think he's beatable either in this latest era (If he was outpointed they wouldnt give his flag over to who earned it anyway) we all know that! It is Ko or nothing thats why Manny is the only hope for a few rounds. Floyd is now boring to watch against normal fighters he can turn skill over into smart spoiler mode now.

He was /is the undisputed King, but the King is dead long live the King,is a true expression. Bring on the next one,stop paying this one in some false hope that theres a dying dragon with a deadly tail up some Philippine mountain that he could go and slowly take apart over 12 rounds, but eh instead we have to put up with a plodding finish to some new unbeaten record and get to hear all about the greatness. Well I wasn't impressed because I said from the get-go this would happen: Floyd would make the adjustments and it would be a much easier and less interesting fight.

In Floyd's defence... he's nearly 38 years old and he's fighting guys like Maidana who not only are much younger and in their physical primes, but have sizeable weight advantages on him. That impresses me, because regardless of what people think about Maidana as a fighter, he is strong as fuck and he's incredibly awkward.

I am not impressed by Floyd at all. The only time I have been impressed by Floyd at this weight has been his recovery of the right hands he took from Shane.

Maidana brought his best game but he is limited and has been beaten by lesser fighters more comprehensively than Floyd did.

Yea it was one punch. Floyd did recover and run...i mean win the fight easily. My issue is what happens when he fights a fighter who he cant escape from that contiues to land those bombs? A fighter who doesnt let him off the hook. Floyd is getting old, manny is also getting old....so I think now is still a good time for them to fight, and I dont think floyd will be able to run from manny all night....unless manny catches some cramps from chasing him.
