If the USA wish to minimize the likelihood of terrorism being deployed against their nation, they must insist that their nation turns from the policies that have given rise to those grievances.

Calm down man. Most people have balanced views. Most people know that IS have no legitimate grievances.
Not everyone thinks like that. Super powers have always done some bad things, and often some good. US is no different. But whatever bad they have done is nothing to do with ISIS butchering their way through Syria and Iraq.
This Denilson person is obviously just taking the old line of 'these people are fighting the oppression of American foreign policy' and applying it to a situation where it is not relevant.

ISIS ARE the oppressors. They aren't fighting American oppression, they just don't like the fact that America 'interfered' in their killing spree.

Iraq is owed reparations by these countries, Afghanistan too. Heck many, many countries, have been wronged by US foreign policy. No compensation despite carpet bombing millions in Vietnam. These are evil people. Each civilian killed deserves a payout given to the family. That would be another way to help right our wrongs. Instead we kill 'em all and get angry because people don't like us and grow up unstable and vengeful. Of course, the West is so broke now that any reparations would collapse the economy, but we don't have those kinds of morals.

Now if you see a non-photo shopped image of me hanging out with let's say Tony Blair, you would have every right to question everything I have ever said or stood for. And yet, when John McCain does it by posing with actual members of Isis, then nobody wants to put a basic equation together. If you want to get rid of Isis, then logically John McCain also belongs in the Hague. It's all too convenient that a well known politician meets a terror group and the funding and weapons flow in significant numbers. It's a cop out to have him saying rubbish like, 'I wanted to give moderates weapons only. My Isis were the good Isis etc'.
