How do you get punching power?

I get the rep system now, and that punching power relates to how many rep points you give or take away from another person when you 'cc/sc' them, but how does one build up their punching power?

What is the rep system, sounds interesting since I'm always looking for a workout system.

I cannot explain fully to myself the punching power, but I believe I see how one can develop it
