Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Of course Hearn has his wallet at heart, but he doesn't make any bones about that . I'm not sticking up for Hearns here, he's a promoter and that's that.
But McGuigan is Frampton's Manager - and takes a cut
His Son trains Frampton - and takes a cut
His other son is his promoter ( fuck knows his name or what he even looks like)- and takes a cut
They have the gym at McGuigan's house- and no doubt charge Frampton for that
They had Frampton live at his house for the whole camp of the fight- no doubt Mrs. McGuigan puts a bill in for that.
He's totally fuckin outnumbered in any career decision and one day he's gonna realise that he's taking all the punches , and he has no control of his career. And to cap it all he's probably taking home less money than they are!!!
When that happens , it'll all go "Pete Tong" and McGuigan will be bellyaching and blubbering about it all day in the press.

No, but he thinks he is. Quigg said he'll fight wherever the most money is. Frampton and McGuigan say Belfast or nothing, and that's for every fight! Frampton is a great fighter and against Martinez he was superb, but What World champion defends in the hometown of the challenger after he's previous lost there to him? Martinez basically took the big payday and sold his belt! So is Quigg supposed to do that? And Santa Cruz? And Rigondeaux?

I don't see anything wrong with what Frampton is saying here. Hearn has signed Frampton's mandatory so he's got more negotiating leverage for this fight so he is involving himself as much as he can. Hearn wants it at the MEN for obvious reasons. McGuigan wants it in Belfast for obvious reasons. Frampton is the draw, Hearn has the Sky monopoly although I don't see this being a PPV event. If it is it'll be Northern Irish Frampton fans buying it so Frampton is the promotional A side here but Hearn is the A side promoter. So an impasse.
I don't think McGuigan is promoting Frampton for philanthropic reasons but he's definitely got his best interests at heart in this.
