Have you ever seen Johnny Nelson v Carlos De Leon. I think that was the worst fight ever. Johnny fought so negatively they would never give him the title and he was at home. Johnny had to spend the next few years fighting abroad because no one wanted to see him.

Mickey Bey vs Vasquez just last weekend was atrocious for a title fight, I'd never seen either and heard Vasquez was actually good! He was unspeakably bad for a "champion", every minuscule bit of action in the whole fight was actually initiated by Bey.

Absolutely! Talk about having to force yourself to watch a fight, and Vasquez wonders why Mexican fans don't like him? He received a badly needed reality check when he lost.

Devon Alexander vs Randall Bailey is another that comes to mind. Just a thoroughly dull affair. It was so bad they both received a point deduction in round six for holding.

Everyone tries to forget that one. But watch Nelson/Warring, it is actually worse. Rather than both landing one 'slap' a round, like Carlos and Johnny did; Warring won a near shut out, by winning each round one slap to nil.

Involving titlists in non title fights: I also had the misfortune to see Akinwande/Nelson. Imagine Nelson at his running worse, against a man so startled, he perfected his hugging tactics for a future world champ. The worse ever though maybe Alan Minter's third bout with Jan Magdziarz. That was so bad the ref walked out in disgust, disqualifying both fighters! It used to be on Youtube, but does not seem to be there anymore.

J.C Chavez v Lonnie Smith comes to mind. Ernie Terrell and Eddie Machen if you can sit through the replay, and stay awake. Whitaker and Anthony Jones made me hate my TV and pick fights with the neighbor out of desperation.
