    Fight of the day. Not much today vid wise. Could have went with Monzon/Griffith but instead of a middle beating up a worn out welter I went with a lightweight who jumped two divisions to fight a 47 gate keeper in his first fight at that weight.

    1945: Sugar Ray Robinson W 12 Jake LaMotta Chicago. #5

    1951: Sandy Saddler KO 10 Willie Pep, NYC. Retains World Featherweight Title. One of the dirtiest fights in the history of the sport. Both men were suspended by the NYSAC and Pep for life although they lifted it about 2 years later and Saddler for an indefinite period.

    Finnegan was a very tough man. For a guy known for his left hook, Foster had a sharp right hand as well.

    I always thought Foster had a bomb of a right hand. Anyway that was a brutal knockout at round 14. Foster was a great fighter at light heavy.
