There was one dangous prisoner who basically said he wanted to move to a prison closer to his family and children. He said he would kill anyone to make it happen. He was in isolation but the governor wanted him to behave, get back in general population before he would consider it. When he left the room a warden said there was no way he wanted him in the general population.

SECURITY GUARDS ARE COMPLICIT IN favoring certain individuals in jail whose cohorts outside of jail can threaten the guard's family. There is a don't ask-don't tell environment where a guard will not question an inmate's warnings that gang members outside the prison could bump one of his family members. Ugly situation.

Yes I seen this documentary, you lock someone up for that long no wonder they go mad, Yep
there are some nasty individuals, you keep a dog on a chain he will go mad,
So if we treat people like animals they will act like animals, some people need locking up
but in the US they have a very large prison population.
Maybe it time to stop locking people up for petty crimes, and only lock up harden criminals,
I am no expert just something to think about.!
