What a cranky pair you are - The Ryder Cup is a fantastic event, and the whole team aspect of it makes it a much more interesting event, as some of the best players aren't at their best in teams. Tiger Woods for example has never really been exceptional at a Ryder Cup as he doesn't buy in to the whole team thing, whereas Ian Poulter, who is usually a 10-25 in the world kind of player becomes an absolute beast at the Ryder Cup. Come on Europe.

How could the U.S. "team" have performed differently or what different strategy could it have used to avoid being defeated by the Europe "team"? The coaches get to pick who goes up against who. I'd have thought that putting out the Mickleson partnership out in the foursomes was a mistake from Tom Watson, considering there was a much fresher partnership who'd already won on Friday morning available. That could have changed the momentum going into day 2. Couple of the US matchups could have been better.
The home coach also gets to choose how the golf course is laid out, which was designed to suit the strengths of the Europeans as opposed to the US team.

Matter of personal taste.

Some find golf barely palatable as an individual game.
Add the "team" element to it, and it loses whatever appeal it had.

If these golfers were really talented they would turn their clubs upside down and play that way. As things stand I think they are overrated, and the snazzy sweater is not twisting my arm.
