Wlad should take out a restraining order.
Make the fight, just to shut Briggs up.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
There's absolutely no way Wlad isn't in on this. They're trolling.

Oooh.....it's all gone a little bit JFK.
i'm not sure it's a set up, Wlad won't make any more dough fighting Briggs than any of the other stiffs he will probably fight, so why would he let himself be filmed looking like a fool falling off his board? although perhaps that wasn't meant to happen .
I just reckon Briggs is a fuckin lunatic with a particularly good sense of humour!![]()
I reckon he's seen Haye taunt the Klits and get a payday and thinks he can do the same, although Haye did bring a title to the party.
I reckon it was a stunt that went better than expected! When Wlad falls into the water, you can see Briggs pissing himself, but asking " are you Ok Champ?" that makes me think that wasn't supposed to happen , but wtf.
Like I said, knowing that you'll find Wlad at his gym or a press conference is one thing, a specific restaurant at a specific time is stretching it...
But finding him wakeboarding on a specific stretch of crowded coastline at just the right time? Come on...
If you buy this, I have a bridge to sell you.
You think Briggs owns the boat? Maybe he just rented it in advance, having been tipped off that Wlad was going to be wakeboarding that day? He must have a mole with access to Wlad's diary. (Wlad must keep a diary)
Do you think Briggs packed his telescope? How else could have have IDed Wlad from afar? Maybe the Q Branch gave him a telescope disguised as an inhaler to as to remain inconspicuous?
A) Wakeboarding is "an extreme sport" which would be odd for a boxing champion to be doing while preparing for a big fight especially after having just recovered from an injury which postponed the fight. Paddleboarding is exercise. Just making note that there is a difference and it is substantial.
B ) What does Wladimir get out of this?
Wlad has dealt with this kind of shit before and he has NEVER "played the game"...he seems genuinely pissed off and rightfully so. Ali hounded Sonny Liston like that well before the days of the internet and people never said "That's staged!" even when Liston drew a gun on Ali and fired blanks in the air in a crowded casino.
Shannon Briggs is out for money, he's out for 1 last big shot at the titles and he's pulling out all the stops.
I got the name wrong... Don't know if it warrants an excited, pedantic explanation of the differences and ramifications, but thanks...
Ali tracked Liston down on vacation and strafed him in a motorboat did he?Like I said... Press conferences and gyms etc are one thing...
I heard that Briggs is planning on pelting Wlad with tomatoes from a convenient hot air balloon during one of Wlad's scheduled dog walks.
Wlad gets a fight that people are talking about... There's barely enough opponents to capture hardcore boxing fan's interest outside of Germany, let alone casual fans... Hence the need for pantomime.
Has Wlad done better numbers than when he fought Haye? Would you blame him for trying to recreate a grudge match?
Maybe you think it's below Wlad, or that I'm questioning his integrity?Don't worry about it.
He's selling out arenas in Germany and Switzerland regardless of who he fights. Would fighting Shannon Briggs in America sell?
Now fighting Deontay Wilder or Bryant Jennings might but Briggs![]()
I said outside of Germany...
A Wilder fight would get some interest, I also think that it would be a much riskier fight. It's well known that Briggs is passed his peak and has poor stamina, nobody really knows how good Wilder is yet.

I don't think it was staged. If the fight actually happens then it will definitely look that way, but assuming Wlad doesn't give him the payday, why the hell would he be in on stunts like this? He is training for a fight right now, and genuinely seemed pissed that he fell off the board

Briggs has nothing to do, why is it so outlandish to think he's legitimately following the guy around. If he is in Florida anyways(dont they both live there part time) and knows someone with a boat, that wouldn't be hard to do. Maybe Wlad paddles that stretch of water every day he's there?
