I'll try my damnedest but it'll be hard if the Canes suck again. I will say I think Tomas Jurco will have himself a good year and I think the Wings will have a much better season this year...Datsyuk is amazing. Crosby also might be a pussy but damn he's talented.

Canes have had a good comeback tonight, they've been scrappy. 11-2 shots in favor of the Canes in the 3rd. Buffalo have a decent team but they coasted with the lead they had.

3 wins in a row for the canucks, this is like the good old days when the divisions were smaller and we played calgary and edmonton all the time :S...

Canucks seem to have made some good moves this year, although I would have rather had hiller than miller, hiller is a million a year less and one year less on his contract, didnt the canucks just get rid of an ageing goalie with a big money contract :S.. well miller is only here for 3 years but still I think hiller would have been a better pick he is solid and the canucks arent going anywhere that having hiller instead of miller would cost them... I always pick vrbata up in the fantasy leagues for half a season and it's good to see him at the canucks, he is scoring well even though playing with the sedins make it pretty easy you've still got to be pretty competent to score regulary, errr after 3 games(he was good in the preseason too to be fair).. And it looks like daniel has just forgotten how to score, unless it is an empty net..

Overall good start to the season for the canucks even though they have just played the biggest donkeys in the west..

please excuse my mostly incoherent posts, I have never been that good at communicating with others :S I do try though

The canucks were crap last year(canucks as in vancouver canucks), like really bad, I am not canadian ,I just live in the vancouver area, so I am no expert on this sport at all but it looked to me the general manager of the canucks lost his way and was making decisions based on radio phone is and other similar nonsense trying to appease the fans, you can tell with the certain buzz words they use when making appointments... so teh canucks hired tortorella because the fans thought they werent tough enough, it didnt go well! so now the fashion is playing the boston style :S whatever that means, it is what is always mentioned on sports radio out here... so a lot of changes for the canucks after a good few years of being a very good team and here we are at the start of the season and 3 wins from 3 ! but errr we just played calgary once and edmonton twice and they are awful,, so it is a pretty misleading stat ! before the nhl realligned the league last year(some teams had a terrible travel schedule due to teams relocating and so on) the canucks were in a smaller division(i think they had 3 per conference instead of teh current 2) and the teams in that division were crap and err some still are ! that was in the good old days when minnesota and colorado were pretty bad(both have improved a lot) and edmonton and calgary were errr edmonton and calgary ! so most of teh canucks games were against crap teams and we won all the time ! now we're in a division with teh california teams, the travelling is a lot less but they are good, so we lose more..

trade rumours of eric staal going to toronto..... Sounds like something toronto would do, I'd go for it if I was the hurricanes, no offence but they dont seem to be going anywhere(much like the canucks) and staal isnt a crosby lie star and toronto would probably pay a pretty high price for him... If it's a good offer I'd send him on his way, you dont want to do a calgary and hold on to iginla for too long.

Do they have a slo-mo version of ice hockey - I can never see the puck for long enough in ice hockey to properly figure out what's going on. It isn't really on TV over here either, so I mainly only get to watch during the winter olympics. There's not enough fighting to really make that the main part of the entertainment, and when there's three or four guys around the goal, its a case of waiting until the action replay to figure out what's happened.

There's not much fighting at all in Olympic hockey because it's not a penalty it's an immediate game misconduct which is not really the best option...plus the Olympic teams don't have goons for the most part as they are basically all star teams.

If you can get the NHL over there maybe you can try to catch the KHL or one of the leagues in Europe.

In the 90s they introduced a "puck trail" on one of the all star games for people who complained they they couldn't see the puck moving, it was kind of funny.

That is the kind of innovative idea that works for me! As long as the players aren't given lightsabers, it could work really well.
