Default Gennady Golovkin is a bigger draw in California than Andre Ward!

Most boxing fans like fearless ring warriors, not prima donnas who rarely fight and demand all the advantages such as home advantage.

They want entertaining fights, not boxers clamping their opponent's arms and fouling.

California is Andre Ward's home state, but Gennady Golovkin, a fearless ring warrior from halfway around the globe, has become more popular there than Ward!

There was a huge demand for tickets for last night's fight. Did you hear crowd cheering for him and chanting Golovkin's name?

Let him step up and call out ward then!

He wont because he will get destroyed.

Lets not forget who andre ward actually is and what resume he has.

GGG is avoiding ward like everyone else.

I agree that he will have more of a following because the majority of fans want that rocky type stuff.

    Explain.

I want GGG to fight andre ward.

Andre needs a big payday after all the crap he is going through so why not school GGG.

I know everyone wants GGG to be the next big thing and I reaslly hope he does well but andre ward is the man to beat...surely you realise that?

Perhaps his team want to to take it slowly and play it safe for the next 5-10 fights but I would give GGG the most props if he started to call out ward and they meet at a catchweight or at 168..

Might not have the best style but neither did calzaghe..

Ward would put a stop to all this GGG hype so I cant blame people for not pushing him in that direction..

You can't knock the guys marketability and knowing the fans. Coming to Wards homestate...for the very first time...and dropping Spanish and being cheered like wild pre and post vs a Mexican fighter?

Was Ward in attendance..must have missed him

The video you posted a link to was uploaded four years ago. Whoever's fault it is, the fact is Ward is fast becoming irrelevant. Calzaghe had more style in his left foot than ward has in his left hook. Ward is extremely effective at what he does, but I don't think it's stylish. He seems quite lacking in imagination.

Why should GGG call out Ward? Ward's in no position to fight, he needs to sort his shit out. Besides , GGG isn't a SMW, he's too short and he makes MW easy. If anything, he should call out Floyd at MW or a catch weight . GGG wants to clean up the division , but there's no takers. What's wrong with that.

    Greenbeanz,

Danny garcia isnt pretty to watch but he is effective.

Can we just put wards numbers aside and appreciate the fact that he wont duck anyone and is improving all the time.

These promotional issues can happen to anyone why does eveyone want ward to fade away?
