I think he would still have to use a style that was aggressive. Tyson was never going to sit back and wait for that perfect punch like Toney did. But I think Eddie Futch could have had Tyson be a more balanced fighter and use less energy than the D'Mato style.
He may have lasted longer in the ring but he needed someone to help him out of the ring more.
Mike Tyson was/is "damaged goods"....I don't know if his career trajectory would have ever been different...maybe under Futch he would have been brought along slower and gotten used to the success and limelight a bit more, but who knows? I do think the style Futch would have brought to Tyson would have given him a bit more longevity just because it's not as physically taxing as the D'Mato style.
