Personally, no I don't, anymore than I thought all Catholic or Republican Irish had declared war on innocent British civilians during the IRA 's UK mainland bombing campaign. It's a clumsy comparison by me but it's not a simple issue.

Terrorists and Extremists with a dumb and ignorant Jihadist agenda don't represent the majority of Muslims but that does not mean that they alone share the blame. There are many muslims in the UK who are calling for Sharia law or excusing and seeking to justify the actions of the violent minority. Fuck them.

I told some buds awhile back after that brutal murder of the British soldier that this shit was going to become part of Western life. I've always been thankful to have a keen sense of whats going on around me and this shit has heightened that awareness. In a bank line up, walking into a grocery store. If I lived in or near a major population I probably would not do anything the same way twice.

This country is going to change now. Its not 3000 buts its one and one on the foundation of this country and every scar. Its the place it was done to the one. I think the Conservatives will win the election on this. And btw, "self radicalization" is going to be a buzz word for the next year. No doubt as a nation there's a lot to discuss in terms of the balance between safety and privacy, not just in this country but globally. I think the problem with the discussion is that it's a minority who are able to be reasonable in the discussion and realize you can't have 100% of both and there needs to be compromises. In my experience, most people either fall into the "anti-government/anti-establishment" camp where they value privacy above everything else and want to strip government agencies of all the tools they need to provide a reasonable amount of protection, and then you have the other side who says "fuck it, I'm not a criminal/terrorist/drug user/pedophile/general bad guy, who cares" and want to give the government carte blanche to reach deep into any and all aspects of our personal lives in the name of "security". There needs to be a lot of give and take on both sides.
