However you have to move your lead foot forward and pivot on the back foot to transfer your weight through?how else would it be any different?even if his ear is in line with his coccyx the moment that he puts his foot forward his ear would be in front of his coccyx so the movement is the same as what he is talking about correct?

Full extension of the hips and shoulders, also if you don't use horizontal placement and do not pivot on the rear foot then the punch will go over your opponents head,if you push up on the back rear heal without horizontal placement then you'll be caught reaching in after you punch.
