Froch has very good punch resistance.I'm not arguing with that, I think kovalev could stop frochHopkins was out on his feet last nightI remember him rocked a fair few times against Pascal. Not wobbled but buzzed. Hopkins had never looked buzzed. It's an interesting list have fighters you have chosen to name those who hurt frochFroch has been hurt plenty of times, against Kessler, Pascal, Taylor, Ward, Dirrell, just off the top of my head. Maybe not badly, but he feels shots, and relies on being able to stand up to them. I think Kovalev has a different kind of power than any of those guys. I'm not even saying Froch would get stopped, but I don't think that's a foolish prediction given that he's never fought at 175 either and is getting up there. Most guys aren't Hopkins, Froch has been in some wars and has always been a big super middle, there is no reason to think he can beat Kovalev.anybody who thinks froch would get stopped doesnt know anything about boxing...B hop tonight didnt get stopped .. why the fuck would froch get stopped...when has froch been hurt ever apart from understaming the ginger chelsea rent boy groves? and he still got up and beat him !!! yeah JT knocked him down years ago but he got KTFO after that
He was never hurt in the way of wobbled against ward or pascal
Taylor put him over and dirrell and kes wobbled him, what about groves?
Groves? Dropped him heavily, Froch legs gone, and hurt him several more times.
Exactly, that's the point. Look at him prior to Kovalev. Rarely if ever hurt.
Look at Froch. Sometimes hurt. Been hurt badly. Been dropped by lesser punchers than Kovalev.
Therefore it is reasonable to suggest that Kovalev could stop Froch.
I'm not sure you're giving frochs punch resistance the credit it deserves tho, and remember froch has fought at a massively higher level than kovalev against the elite in his division
It's just that Tam said that as Kovalev couldn't stop Hopkins that meant he couldn't stop Froch.
Was just pointing out the flawed logic there.
