    1968

    Bob Foster

    'Cassius said yes, and then he said no. He didn't really want to get into the
    Ring with me in mid-1968.'

    'Instead, he said he would fight both Floyd Patterson and Buster Mathis on
    the same night in Salt Lake City, Utah'.

    This is true,

    Cassius said he would fight Floyd Patterson and Buster Mathis on the same night
    in back-to-back 10-Round fights.

    Cassius suggested that Bob Foster fight Rudy Clay {Cassius' brother} in another
    10-Rounder.

    Seems like Foster took a monumental ass whipping every time he went up to HW. Should have kept his ass at 175.

    Wrong

    Early in his career Bob Foster defeated Heavyweights

    * June 27, 1962 ............ W Split-Dec 8 ...... Bert Whitehurst ~ {195 lbs.}
    * December 11, 1963 ..... KO 3 .................. Willi Besmanoff ~ {197 lbs.}
    * February 25, 1964 ....... KO 1 .................. Dave Bailey ~ {204 lbs.}

    And Bob did this while walking into the Ring at 175 lbs. on his 6' 3" frame.

    Bob Foster >

    'Had there been a 190 lb. Junior Heavyweight Division, I would have been Champ
    for 15-years. My best weight was around 180 to 182 lbs.'

    'Look, I took out Philadelphia Heavyweight - Dave 'KO' Bailey in One-Round, and
    he out-weighed me by +25 lbs. This is the same Dave Bailey who was beating up
    Cassius Clay in those February 1964 sparring sessions at the 5th Street Gym in
    Miami Beach.'

    See... here's where Billy won't bother answering and will continue his monologue.

    Take that last phrase:

    "This is the same Dave Bailey who was beating up
    Cassius Clay in those February 1964 sparring sessions at the 5th Street Gym in
    Miami Beach".

    Granted... this is supposedly a Foster quote, but..... it gets put out there as fact.

    Give us facts, Billy. Don't give us regurgitated sour grapes comments from bitter old boxers who were all doomed to fall under the shadow of Ali.

    1968

    Cassius Clay was not a 'fighter' in 1968.

    He had been 'languishing' on the College Lecture Tour, and was getting
    soft.

    Which is the only reason Foster stood a chance. Don't you get it? Ali is the greatest ever. Say it after me.

    Cassius Clay finished 363 out of 365 in his High School Class.

    He just edged out a 'Rock' and a 'Imbecile'.

    " High school had bittersweet memories for me.i was coasting through at the top of the class of 365 people and the some skinny kid with glasses called l'il Willy Paxtom stole my work just before the Exam. With no prep work at all I Struggled in 363rd place . But the crazy thing was that l'il Willy P was so dumb, he forget to bring the prep work with him and finished 365th in the class, plumb last just behind Forrest Gump! Man, that guy stole all my work and still finished last behind some Gimpy guy who wouldn't stop running!
    Anyway, when I found out L'il Willy stole my work, I tied one hand behind my back and made him fight me. Man I beat him up all day long and when he begged for Mercy, I pulled down my pants and made him kiss my ass."

    Are You Aware,

    That Cassius Clay became very close friends with Liberace..........

    Not that there is anything wrong with that.
