Despite my comments I admire Floyd, as a boxing fan how can you not. I am more of a Manny fan, he strikes me as a little more real and in touch which I attribute to the life he had growing up. In all honesty I think this fight is still going to happen. Floyd senior made a comment that he thinks Manny has slowed enough where Floyd could easily beat him. Let's face it, both these guys have a business machine behind them and in the end neither side is going to walk away from what might be the biggest payday in boxing history. The problem is whoever wins or loses fans will be saying, well, if it happened ten years ago such and such would have happened but, and write this down, I am willing to bet Brocks left testicle the fight takes place next year and the hype will be like nothing we have seen. I'll even throw in miles right testicle and masters porn collection to show how sure I am this fight will happen.

Fair enough but if it happened 5 or 10 years ago the result would have still been the same.

Are we to believe that if it was 5 years ago floyd just stayed the same age at 37 and wouldnt be better?

Everyone seems to think because manny MIGHT have been better 5 years ago floyd just gets stuck in time and wouldnt be the same fighter whooping an undefeated hatton.

Shall we even bring up the 2 year retirement to come back and school a legend in marquez!!!

You are missing something. I think Manny would win the bout. I'm just saying whatever happens people are saying it happened too late.

The 32 yr old floyd beats the 37 year old floyd.

I see manny winning a maximum of 4 rounds five years ago and getting possibly ko in this era.

One thing that I have learnt is that mannys main flaw is that he hates boxers and counter punchers.

Morales schooled him
Marquez fought him four times and ko him in the last bout.

Now both of these fighters dont have the speed of floyd, the defence or the chin so on paper its a bad situation for manny..every fan knows this.

They are both slowing down but in floyds case he never fought a mma type brawler to the extent of maidana and he took more damage than usual..the last of his opponents will not have that maidana type style so he will be in his element of pot shotting and countering and winning on points like he usually does..(IF his legs are still there!)
