    'Rounds 4 and 5'

Fritzie gave Henry a frightful beating. The Champion thudded Henry with
left-jabs, short hooks and right uppercuts.

Each time that Fritzie landed a right-uppercut to the chin, Henry's head
    rocked like a 'Bobble Doll'.

But Henry tried in vain to find an opening. When Henry moved in close, he
tried to lay a heavy left-hook into Fritize's right side.

But Fritzie was too smart, as each time Henry tried to unload left-hooks to
the body, the Champion would drop his right arm by his side to protect his Liver.

The 'pug-nose' Champion was catching every blow on his arm's as Henry flung
    in punches.

By the end of Round 5, Henry's left-eye was half-closed after taking several hard
    right-hands square on the eye-brow.

Thru '5' Rounds, Fritzie had a comfortable 4-1-0 lead in Rounds.

    'Round 6'

Fritzie came out to put a 'hurting' on Henry. The Champion ripped in left-jabs
and caught Henry with jarring right-uppercuts.

Henry's mouth was now bleeding, and his mouth was hanging open as he was
    tiring badly.

Fritzie landed a jarring right-hand to Henry's chest, which sent him stumbling
    on weak legs.

Mid-way through the session Fritzie caught Henry with a short right-uppercut
to the jaw, and Henry went down to one-knee.

Henry was up without a 'count', but he was stunned. Now Henry was moving
backwards, and was warding off Fritzie's punches by putting up an open right
    glove and keeping it high.

When Henry tried to mount an offense, his punches were mere 'pushes', and
    he had nothing behind them.

Henry was hanging on at the end of Round 6.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    'Round 7'

Fritzie again slammed Henry with both hands, which included hard hooks and
short right-uppercuts. Fritzie looked like a 'blacksmith' hammering away on
hot soft iron and pounding it into shape.

Fritzie opened up a 'gash' under Henry's left-eye, and the 'little' Warrior was
battered about the Ring as Referee - Arthur Donovan looked in.

Between the 7th and 8th Rounds, Trainer - Ray Arcel did the best he could
    in refreshing Henry Armstrong.

Even giving the 'fast-fading' Warrior a small glass of Coffee with Brandy.

    'Round 8'

Fritzie went right back to stabbing Henry with left-jabs, and occasionally
adding in some hard hooks to the head.

On the other side, Henry only offered up a minor 'left-right' and then scooted
    backwards.

By the {1:30 Mark}, Henry was on the receiving end only, as Fritzie caught
him with jarring right-hands and short uppercuts on the inside.

Henry took a 'bad' beating in Round 8, and was pretty much finished.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    'Round 9'

Fritzie again went on the offensive, and put forth stiff punches into Henry's face.

By the {1:30 Mark}, both of Henry's eyes were 'slits', and he could barely see.

Referee - Arthur Donovan took a good look at Henry, but allowed him to continue.

During one exchange, Henry was finally able to land a few overhand rights, and
then caught Fritzie with a sharp left-hook near his right-ear when he turned. Fritzie
suffered a bad-gash behind his right ear.

But Fritzie then went to work on Henry, and slammed him with short-punches on the
inside. Henry was completely exhausted by the {2:30 Mark}.

Over the last 30-Seconds, Fritzie looked for the 'finisher', and drove Henry backwards
with a volley, but the 'Hammerin Hank' hung on.

At the end of Round 9, the Ringside Physician {Dr. Alexander Schiff} checked out Henry,
    and asked him to quit.

But Henry refused, and said he wanted to 'go out on his shield'.

    'Round 10'

It was more of the same, as Fritzie slammed Henry with 'jarring punches'.

Fritzie ripped in short upper-cuts into Henry's face while they were in close.

Henry was now sporting '3' cuts under the left-eye, and '3' cuts under the right-eye,
and his face was as 'red' as a Raspberry.

Henry took a 'lathering of punches' as the sell out crowd at Madison Square Garden
sat stunned watching Henry getting hammered apart.

Henry was nearly blind now, as both his eyes were slits. He could barely see the
punches coming in, and got rocked each time that Fritzie threw a punch.

And when Henry moved forward to throw a punch, Fritzie would easily side-step
him, and rip away with short hooks. It was a 'massacre'.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the end of Round 10, Referee - Arthur Donovan walked over to Henry's corner
and pleaded with him to 'quit'.

    Arthur Donovan >
"It's over Henry, you can't beat him. He's too far ahead on points, and he's beating
you up. Please quit, or I'll have to stop it. The Doctor wants me to call it off."

But the 'courageous' warrior asked for 'one more Round'

    'Round 11'

'Lil Henry' would not quit, and came out like a 'Cannonball' shot out of a Cannon.

Despite the previous non-stop battering at the hands of the 'cool' Champion - Fritzie Zivic,
Henry showed incredible courage and determination.

Henry came out and immediately slammed Fritzie with '2' hard left-hooks, and then drove
Fritzie backwards with a 'two-fisted' volley.

Henry then hammered away and smashed Fritzie with a right-hand to the jaw, and then
shook the Champion badly with a follow up left-hook at the {0:50 Mark}.

Henry was moving side-to-side, as he unloaded with both fists into a now 'stunned' and
    retreating Champion.

Henry continued to punch, and Fritzie reeled backwards into a Corner while getting stung
    by hard punches.

Henry then poured it on, and ripped away at Fritzie with everything he had for the next
minute. Henry landed 'grazing' right-hands to Fritzie's jaw while looking for the Knockout
    blow.

It was a remarkable display of ring brilliance by 'Hammerin Henk'.

But then at the {2:00 Mark}, Henry suddenly 'gassed out'.

Then Fritzie came back with sharp left-hands into Henry's face, and short right-hands to
the head and body over the last minute of the Round.

Fritzie landed calculating blows on a 'weary' Henry until the Bell sounded.

Though Henry won Round 11 on the Scorecards, he was completely worn out at the end
of the Round and was gasping for breath.

As he walked back to his corner it was not a pretty sight, as Henry now had 'slits' for eyes,
    and blood in his pupils.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    After 'Round 11' >

Dr. Alexander Schiff checked out Henry again. Though Henry was a mess, the
Ringside Physician did not stop the bout. But, he informed Referee - Arthur Donovan
to watch Henry carefully in Round 12.

    'Round 12'

Henry comes out 'blazing' over the first 20-Seconds, and hammers Fritzie
with a barrage of lefts-and rights'.

But the little Warrior 'gasses' himself out quickly, as he emptied his tank with
    all that he had left.

Fritzie knowing that Henry is spent, steps in and slams him with hard left-jabs
and short hooks to the face and head for the next 20-Seconds.

Henry has slowed down completely and is a stationary target. Fritzie then sends
in 'knifing punches' into Henry at the {0:45 Mark} that opens up the wounds on
    his face.

Fritzie then pounds Henry with a '4-Punch' barrage to the head, and Henry staggers
    forward.

A 'staggered' Henry attempts to throw a wild right, and misses and stumbles to
    the floor.

Referee - Arthur Donovan steps and says "That's it", and calls the bout over at
    {0:52} of Round 12.
