Id have to say pryor too. Even though Tszyu is probably the best 140 champion EVER i think pryor had a better style for hatton. But also one thing i might point out, prime tszyu never needed space for his punches, he threw them like nothing else and i think hatton would of been lucky to last the firdt 4 rounds against a prime tszyu. Prime Pryor kos hatton for sure.
Tszyu hadn't been in many wars, had had less fights than Hatton, had about 3 rounds in 2 years and looked pretty prime against Mitchell!! Don't think you can use the prime argument on this one mate, Tszyu just got outstyled and out hustled. Don't get me wrong Tszyu will got down as the better fighter imo, but he lost fair and square, no exuses, he even said so himself!!
Tszyu is too much of a good man to make excuses. However, he did have lingering shoulder problems and admitted he had lost some of his fire/desire before fighting Hatton. It also must have fun fight hatton in Manchester where the crowd goes wild (in a good way) when hatton nailed Tszyu with that vicious low blow. It WAS a close fight and I think Tszyu could have still won it under different circumstance, even lacking his desire. IMO hatton reached his peak that fight and with everything going against Koysta he still managed to make it a very close one.

I would say the way hatton's momentum is going Pryor would win via KO in the later rounds

Pryor would dismantle him with ease...Reason is Hatton would want to go toe to toe and fight Pryor and Pryor was a KO machine....and he could out box Hatton if he had to go about it that way

I cant believe Hatton is being mentioned in the same breath as Pryor .
    Pryor was a legend !
Pryor would destroy Hatton easy !

the best 140 pounders ever were :
    1 Tszyu
    2 Pryor
    3 Chavez

mikey thats just rubbish, you put Tszyu and no.1 yet Hatton beat him and you put Pryor in a different class

And can we please stop making excuses for Tszyu, as the man said he lost fair and square to the better fighter on the night. Not to say i dont think Tszyu could of won cus hes a great boxer but the simple fact of the matter is Hatton won and convincingly at that.

But no i dont think Hatton could beat Pryor

....Not saying Ricky didnt deserve to win . No excuses there . But if you look at the calibre of fighters
each of the three have faced , well thats a different story .
Thats why all 3 are, and will be, hall of famers

Yes Pryor would destroy Hatton, and we deserves to be recognized above Tszyu as the best 140 lb'ers ever.. Benetiz Chavez and Pryor would be top 3 imo.. But Tszyu is overrated imo, his best win is over Zab Judah, and Mitchell who never beat a great fighter and lost to some average ones before Tszyu.. Kosta was average agains't brawlers, his loss to Phillips and Hatton show that he didn't change anything imo, and was vulnerable when crowded... Vince Phillips wasn't exactly an excellent fighter and imo Hatton still has to prove that he is...

I think you overstate when you say best 140 pounder ever. A lot of greats people would and could beat Tszyu. He was just one of the best of his era.

Question with Pryor is not how great he was...just how Great he could have been without all his personal problems...With all the chaos in his life he was stil so dominant and would of made quick work of Hatton...TKO in 6
