I am still shocked with his Rubio fight and I never seen his loss to Alcine. How did Alcine beat him? Serious question.
I'm not sure I never seen the Alcine fight and obviously would never watch it. He was 21, got used to everyone falling over when he swung his fists and got too confident, and Rubio doesn't fuck around and put him on his ass. He's matured now though and is a true pro fighter.

I didnt watch the Alcine fight but i read that Lemieux blew hes wad early , started to fall apart and Alcine just boxed his ears off the rest of the fight it was a Majority Decision. Also it was the fight after Rubio stopped him. Probably wasn't in the right state of mind.

I saw the fight, not really worth watching. Wouldn't say Alcine boxed his ears off and it really could have gone either way, but Lemiuex was crap in the 2nd half for sure, threw very little and Alcine wasn't offering a whole lot.

The HBO crew made reference a thousand times to Lemieux running out of gas in the past. Lemieux himself said his training is a 100 times better these days.

As for GGG-Lemieux - Bring it on. However long it lasts - doubt it goes past three - it will be exciting. Lemieux is a genuine sicko puncher, anyone that trades with him could get chinned out.

I remember hearing Ed Robinson (Sky Sports. Great judge.) compare Lemieux to Nigel Benn a while back. Good one. He even showed he's seriously dangerous when hurt the other night.

Yeah, that's the plight of the big puncher, Big George ran into that vs Ali, Wlad ran into that 10 years ago, but if Lemieux has changed his ways and can throw heaters into the late rounds, he's going to be a hard guy to fight.
