Interesting comments. Brand is someone the AM is very suspicious of, but I don't see what harm a voice sticking up for ordinary people can do. He could stay in his penthouse preening and doing nothing, but he actually is doing something, and I can only look at the positive in that rather than focusing on the negative such as the hypocritical and frankly ludicrous Sun newspaper approach. I really enjoy his Trews and welcome his voice.

Brand has made it clear he does not want to be a 'professional politician'. He wants to use his fame to bring a voice to causes that he believes in. Many of them are very worthwhile, although one of them 'causes' is a book he is selling. Despite that caveat, I think Brand is a brilliant addition to political discourse in the UK, and I commend him for much of his work.

Brand was good on Question Time, but he faltered with his 'I don't want to become like them' comment in response to the question of why don't you become directly involved. I agree with the view that the system is beyond any repair and thus it must must collapse externally, but I found his response a little shallow. However, he was under pressure and I guess it just came out that way. It's hard to think sometimes under pressure. Also his comments about being just an entertainer on Twitter were evasive. He shouldn't say that. He is aspiring for more than mere entertainment, and you can entertain and motivate and help people. He knows it's now more than entertainment otherwise he wouldn't be doing it. Revolution is not a game. Brand gets a raw deal from the mainstream media too. They are traitors really and their grip on opinion is tenuous at best. I think people are seeing through it all now, whence the police state reaching out its tentacles in a not so subtle manner. The UK mainstream media is in a very poor state of affairs really. You can sense the dinosaur nations giving out a roar, but they have lost all credibility with banking, wars, torture, austerity, privatisation, tuition fees etc. The backlash is long overdue.

Remember the link I put, that guy was the brother of a member of UKIP. Cunt.
