Both fighters have earned millions and will be well off in retirement but they will forever be remembered for not making the biggest fight in their careers until they die.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Floyd is the bigger star and self-proclaimed "TBE," he'll be looked at far more harshly than Pac. Apart from a brief period when Pac was chinned out by Marquez he has been Floyd's biggest rival of this era. You can't be the best if you don't fight the best.
I read this earlier from Dan Rafeal - If Floyd retires with no Manny fight my story reads: 'Floyd Mayweather, longtime p4p king, who won titles in 5 divisions but never faced Manny Pacquiao...'
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
It's quite simple. Mayweather is asking for Manny to take less than $40 million and for the fight to be only on Showtime. If that's a starting point for his side of the negotiation, fine, no problem trying to get the best deal you can.
However if he sticks to that then he's definitely ducking Manny. He's giving up a payday more than double anything he's made before because he's scared to fight him. So we'll know who's really scared of who by how these negotiations shake out.
